Leiston United Church (Methodist & URC)

Leiston United Church is a small congregation with a big heart for God and the local community. We are a local partnership of the United Reformed Church (part of the Eastern Synod of the URC) and the Methodist Church (part of the Ipswich Circuit). We reflect both traditions in the way we worship and the way we work as a local church. The church building is situated at the centre of Leiston, on the High Street. The building is used regularly for a range of community activities as well as for worship and church events. Please scroll down the page for more information.
Sunday Worship
We usually gather for worship on a Sunday morning at 10:30am, in the church or, in the colder seasons, in the hall. Following our time of worship we share refreshments.
About once every six weeks, instead of our morning service, we have afternoon worship which usually takes place at 2:00pm and is followed by tea and cake.

LUC Foodbank
Leiston Food Bank is independent and can be used, without referral, by anyone who may need it. It is open Friday and Saturday mornings from 10:00am -11.30am at the Leiston United Church. If you require further information please call 01728 831446. There is no requirement to call or book in advance.
Community Coffee
Our hall is open for community Coffee (Tea or Squash also available) every Friday and Saturday from 10:00am – 11:30am. Everyone is welcome to join us.

CommuniTEA Chinwag
Each month a CommuniTEA Chinwag is held at Leiston United Church. folk to gather from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
A “Chinwag” is a social group for the over 60s. There will be refreshments, entertainment and plenty of chat and an opportunity for anyone to come along, regardless of their interests, challenges, mental health, physical difficulties and caring status.
